Digital Island, the US based streaming media delivery experts have 
released the 'Footprint Media Manager'; their tool to manage, 
distribute and in theory monetize streaming media content. 

Both Clear Channeland Primestream.com are early adopters of the new 
product, that has an advanced administration tool as part of its 
artillery, allowing easy access to set up geographical rules for 
pricing,easy uploading and management of files wrapped up within a 
secure rights system. 

Whilst Digital Island claim to have 6 out of the top 10 media 
companies on their books, the new product is very similar in concept 
to others in the market place; including the heavy weight media 
syndicator from Loudeye. 

Content management and the appilaction ofe-commerce rules has been 
hot on peoples lips this year, however a successful business model is 
still to be proved for content producers.
