RSS and XBEL (was - Re: RSS feeds for bookmarks)

I don't dislike the idea but, conceptually, it doesn't seem like much
of a fit. By that, I mean RSS has never really been used for any kind
of hierarchical representation. From a categorization / taxonomy point
of view, it opens up all kinds of interesting possibilities, between
nesting stuff and pointing at data in other nodes. But I'm not sure
how tools, specifically, would use the functionality beyond just
shuttling a list of bookmarks around.

I am all for modules, but I guess I'm wondering how/when you draw the
line where RSS stops and another "application"[1] begins? Am I going
to have to write a DocBook module? :-)
