Ouch. That was a bit much, if you ask me.

The question I tried to respond to was: "Has anybody thought 
about this issue? Is it even an issue at all?" and that was the 
conclusion I came to when I thought about the issue. I'm sorry 
if you're offended at my rather frank tone, but I meant no 
offense to you personally. I was using "you" in a general sense, 
as in "folks who worry a lot about ads often block them". I am, 
of course, one of those people.

Also, I've already seen HTML-based feeds embed banner ads in the 
description of some RSS 0.92 feeds.

Again, apologies if you were offended, I was just trying to be helpful.
