Jeff, I think you're going to need to add a user entered channel title
field. I've just been looking at the O'Reilly feeds for their own pages.
eg their weblogs at
http://www.oreillynet.com/meerkat/?&c=5209&_fl=rss&t=ALL
All of these feeds have a common <channel>.<title> and
<channel>.<description>.
I can also see a potential problem if you're indexing on url UNIQUE.
These CGI GET based feeds can be written in several ways depending on
parameter order.
