I am not sure if there is one or not, but we did discuss at the Open
Source
Conference about replacing it with a RSS 1.0 format (basically it came
down to using the dublin core content field with a pointer to the format
for an RSS OCS type feed).

We also discussed creating a robots.rss to provide people with a means
to
discover all of the feeds for a site (and how if you mix items in a
single
feed you could create a means to navigate a site). One fellow who was
from Yahoo seemed keen on this. If this sounds like a fairly workable
solution we will probably add it to the Slash hosting engine.

I believe Rael was going to write up a bit about this and post it to
the mailing lists.
