Hi,

it fixes problems with scriptingNews, in a nice easy way. But I don't
think it was designed with headline syndication in mind, or at least
not the current state of affairs in headline syndication.

I work beautifully to syndicate weblogs, and helps provide context for
for headlines (by allowing space for additional links).

The way I treat RSS .92 feeds in NewsIsFree is to arbitrarily take the
first <A ....>...</A> and use that as link and title. The next version
of the site will not REQUIRE title and links, so it should be better.

Maybe a better thing would be to require a title and link in the
RSS .92 feeds (like RSS .91) but to ignore them in weblog oriented
software. The danger then is for people to start putting junk in
them just because they need to be there...

My take on this would be to leave the RSS .92 spec as it is, let
aggregators deal with it the way that fits them best and not complain
if they ignore it (not that I have heard many people complaining
that their RSS .92 feed was not being picked up by syndicators,
it's only syndicators complaining they can't handle the data ;-) )
