I'm afraid this is my point exactly.  As long as there are folks 
arguing for an RSS-* split, they deserve the RSS-* vs. complete 
renaming to be put to a vote.  This isn't in any way standing in the 
way of progress; it's a simple poll taking only a few seconds to make 
sure that we know what folks want.  I'm rather concerned about there 
being no problem with simply listening to the most vocal few and 
steam-rolling this forward when a balanced poll would speak volumes, 
one way or the other.

For pity's sake, what's the harm in simply asking the question, folks?
