Fair enough, I meant "not yet" start a new list, sorry it didn't come
across that way.

OK, it is not purely technical but I personally find it quite
technical most of the time. Unless other people come out and say they
would prefer a place that was less technical, I'll assume I'm a
minority.

I simply got the domain rssfaq.com because, I thought it was silly
getting people to link to http://www.purplepages.ie/something/. I
figured if I got a domain from the start it could point at wherever
the FAQ ended up. It is currently with my local host waiting for me
to tell him what IP to point it to or open a hosting account with him.
OK, I couldn't buy it in everyone's name, but I don't consider it my
personal property, it was intended for a group RSSFAQ and it will be
pointed wherever the group decides.
As for working together that is exactly what I want.
Hosting the data with RSS Info or combining the two somehow sounds
like a good idea.
I think wherever the data ends up we need some kind of CMS, so as
multiple persons can have access to add info. I also think ftp access
for a couple of people might be good also because having that gives you
extra options.
I think if we could work out what kind of info we want to make
available and who can contribute it would be easier to decide what is
best.
If I was personally going to be responsible for managing/updating the
site I probably favour getting it hosting on an NT server, because ASP
is what I can do everything I need in, and linking it up with RSS Info
rather than a complete merge. If we work out that we have use of a
CMS that does everything we need it seems just as logical to merge the
two completely and have you host the end result, if you are happy to
do that.

That sounds great to me.
