Slight tangent, but there's a brief paper outlining how one might query
namespace-extended RSS 1.0 at http://ilrt.org/discovery/2000/11/rss-query/
A proof-of-concept online implementation can be found at
http://swordfish.rdfweb.org/rdfquery/ though this only shows query
against a small number of RSS files loaded from the Web during
query. Similar principles would apply to searching an aggregate of
RDF/RSS data.
Basic point being that certain kinds of syndicated data that you might
use RSS for actually don't end up being queried 'as' RSS. Instead,
you're likely to want to couch queries in terms of the application the
RSS is 'about', eg. jobs.
hope this helps,
Dan
