Realize that not only the 'the work of classifying could be considered original work, and thus protected under copyright law' but the 'idea of classifying' is covered by their Headline Newslink Agreement.

If you've read the agreement, it clearly states: "3.1.1 Subject to the rights granted herein, Moreover will retain all intellectual property rights ... for the methodologies developed by Moreover for the categorization of news channels and the customization of content within those channels"

To me, a methodology is more than actually doing the classifying.
