Easy channel list tool?

I've not had chance to look into it, but it occurred to me that the XHTML
format I suggested [1] is very like the format Netscape used in the old days
to list its bookmarks (Mozilla still does?)

Forget the format as a proposal for now, might something like this be a neat
way to create a tool?

i.e. you add links to all your site feeds to a folder in Internet Explorer's
"Favourites" (or whatever), click a bookmarklet and with a bit of Javascript
and/or XSLT magic you get a correctly formatted (whatever the format will
be) channel list file. Little or no contact between user and source code,
hence fewer opportunities to screw it up.
