The trouble with filtering is you end up missing quite a lot.  It's 
one thing to want to apply a search filter against a pool of feed 
items.  It's another thing to expect it to be able to exclude data.

As more aggregators escalate up into using real databases it'll be 
possible to make more sophisticated queries against your locally 
pooled feed items.  Some tools have had this for a while but have 
failed to implement decent user interfaces.
