Re: [syndication] Scraper code?



Ah. That's what I was thinking of next, although myrss does a fine job. I
was thinking of doing one that was more tunable...

Also, IMHO all of these scrapers should be linked up on both sides; i.e.,

1. user goes to Web page they like
2. user wants to subscribe to a feed; they press a bookmarklet to do so
3. bookmarklet (or service) figures out that there isn't a feed available
(through use of <LINK> tag, syndic8, etc.)
4. request made to service to transmorgify to RSS
5. service makes note, starts generating feed
6. service sends back redirect to feed in response
7. client dispatches it to whatever needs to subscribe to the feed
