Quoting the spec:
[[ In 1999, the W3C published a recommendation for namespaces in XML. In
2002, with the release of RSS 2.0, we now include the ability to extend RSS,
using namespaces. It's very simple. A RSS feed may contain elements not
described on this page, only if those elements are defined in a namespace.]]

Hopefully that means that we can add whatever elements we want, just as long
as they are defined in a namespace.

Might Dave be refering to RSS 1.0  ?
