KBnow and aggregation

Hello ---

We just released two new syndication-related features for our
knowledgebase server KBnow (http://www.kbnow.com), and I was hoping
to get some feedback from the folks on the list (and of course toot
our horn a bit).

First, we're now able to monitor RSS/RDF feeds and aggregate the
content into the corporate knowledgebase. The behavior is rather
similar to standard aggregation apps, except that we transform the
items into html and full-text index them. Obviously it works best
with feeds that include complete article text in the <description>
tag, but it's useful for abstracts as well.

The second thing we've done is enable filtering of inbound items, so
on a per-feed basis you can only index articles that are of interest
to your installation in particular.

The server runs on Linux and Windows (NT-class machines, not 98), and
the configuration is xml-based; there's not a lot of UI for
administration.

Anyways, I'd love for folks on the list to take a look and let me
know (1) what you think of the functionality, and (2) how well we did
in parsing all the freaking flavors of rss/rdf out there. We're
focused on the US Corporate market, if that makes any difference.

Take care and thanks for you thoughts...
