using rss2html, want to limit # of headlines pulled

I'm using Jonathan Eisenzopf's rss2html script to pull RSS feeds onto 
an HTML page, but would like to be able to put a cap on how many 
items are displayed. (for instance, pull in the Daypop 40 feed, but 
show only the first 10 items). Is there a way to do this with 
rss2html, or some similar script?
