The feedback on the draft from the IESG was that we need to make RSS
itself a normative reference first; i.e., submit it for
publication as
an RFC. Coming up with a candidate for this is on my todo list. Once
that happens, the application/rss+xml draft will be resubmitted (or,
more likely, the media type registration will be included in the RSS
draft).
