Call for moderators
Since our poll re: moving the list seems undecided so far, other
approaches to the problem are in order.
Bill Kearney suggested (thanks!) moderating new subscribers to the list,
so that subcribe-n-spammers are confounded.
As a result, I'm looking for a few good moderators. They will be
expected to approve or reject posts from new list members in a timely
fashion; also, obvious spammers should be removed from the list (all
through Yahoo's interface). Moderators will also promote new members to
unmoderated status once they've posted a non-spam message, demonstrating
their good intent.
THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THE LIST WILL BE MODERATED; IT WILL ONLY BE
TEMPORARILY MODERATED FOR NEW SUBSCRIBERS.
Please respond privately.
