I have my RSS feed... now what? :)
Hi all.
I have my RSS feed
http://markupworld.com/markupworld.rdf
for my site Markup World
http://www.markupworld.com
Markup World collates all the (known to me) XML and webservices feeds
that I can find. It indexes the news and archives it. Pretty handy
for developers. In fact that's why I built it! To avoid having to
go between about 25 websites each day to find out anything new in the
field.
OK, so I submitted the RSS feed to Assimil8, Userland, XMLTree,
NEwsIsFree and Figby. Have I missed anything else?
my.netscape.com doesn't make any mention of where to submit, so I
haven't done that yet.
And just in case anyone else wants to get my feed onto their site :)
then this is a VERY nifty javascript which processes the RSS feed FOR
YOU. In other words now HTML-only sites can use RSS feeds as well
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JavaScript
SRC=http://www.wc.cc.va.us/services/news/channel.asp?c=5135> </SCRIPT>
Warning about that javascript, it will only work when Userland get
around to approving my feed. Give it a few more hours.
So, back to my question: any more services I should submit to?
And lastly, I also run TopXML - about 12,000 unique daily visitors -
and we don't have any content covering RSS yet. If anyone is keen to
assist delivering the message to my visitors, please let me know.
Authors! Calling authors! :P
Cheers,
Mark Wilson
