Actually, I don't think that's valid X[HT]?ML anyways - since "checked" by
itself means absolutely nothing (it's not an attribute, it's not an
attribute value, etc.) Does:

   <input type="checkbox" checked="checked" />

Pass the syntax checkers? I'd experiment myself,
but I'm heading off for work right now...
