PatentWiki (Was Re: [syndication] RDF under patent attack?)

I have set up the PatentWiki at 
http://www.vertexdev.com/patent_wiki/index.php?page=PatentWiki 
to collect and maintain information about the recent Merchant and
Gould "licensing letter."

Note that plaintiffs are not welcome there and will be dealt with
quite harshly. Others are free to view and add their own
information. I've been up since 3 AM, and have no more energy to add
content tonight.

Please forward info about this to interested parties.

I got one of the nasty-grams on Monday. After some discussion on
#rdfig I did not want to say anything in public. But everyone else is
talking about this, and I guess I can say something.

I still want to be very careful of what I say, and I'll tell you
why. Its pretty clear to me that a mailing list that many of us use
and rely on is being 'mined' to find alleged violators. IMO we have to
expect that our normal channels have been compromised by this "Patent
Terrorist" (http://www.merchant-gould.com/bios/2000webbios/tkq.htm)
and to do our best to keep him from learning of our plans and
thoughts. He's not working out in the open, and neither should
we. There's more info on this within the Wiki.

This is not something that we can afford to ignore.

PS - I told all 5 of my kids last night that there's no way in heck I
     will ever pay for law school. Fortunately the oldest one is
     looking to get a CS degree, and with proper guidance the others
     will aim for equally respectable professions.
