Yes, that's so--one of the nice things for paid accounts. Personally I prefer http://livejournal.com/users/username/ to the one with a ~, but that's me.
Um, it looks to me like they're using a <url/> tag instead of <link/>, in items.
If anyone's speaking to them again, it'd also be great to see friends pages available in RSS, too.
