RSS, OCS and ICE definitions

Does everybody agree to that?

RSS is mainly a standard to describe some content that you want to
share (mainly headlines which are small).

OCS is just the description of a directory that lists syndicated
content. These listed syndicated pieces can be described using the
RSS norm, Plain Text, Avantgo, WML or Scripting News format.

ICE is describing a whole process of syndication and is not related
to RSS at all except by the fact that they both are XML based
descriptions. It does not use the OCS directory neither.

Then,
How do you manage syndication rules without ICE?
Does RSS has to come with OCS?
Does anyone has a schema representing the way ICE works and the way
RSS and OCS works?

Thanks for sharing...

Fabien.
