well, I've thinking about this over the last few days. I'm a recent
Jabber user (been using ICQ for ages), and the opportunities
offered by the it seem endless...
We have options:
- send all the items everytime the feed changes, in RSS
- send new items only, in RSS
- send a notification of change, in some kind of XML, and then
  the client would just the file specified in that notification

I like this idea better than the RSS .92 <cloud> because Jabber
would handle the subscription to the conference for me...

So I would willing to "experimental support" for the server side!
Once, I've figgured out how to send a Jabber message in PHP [1]
To start with, I suggest we use one or more conference rooms
on jabber.com. In time, we'll see if you install our own server
and maybe restricted access to the conference rooms to registered
users
