Blogger and RSS

The more I think about it, the more I think that Blogger producing RSS
as a default would be a huge win for all concerned. 

Given the Blogger system as it is, almost everything needed is already
in place. It wouldn't even take much code, maybe one sub-routine and 30
lines. An rss.xml file could be created whenever the blog user recreates
pages and publishes them and it could be ftped to the same location as
the html. 

So what can we do to try and help this to happen?

BTW, is Jeff Barr back from holiday yet? Is the Syndicat8 project
springing into life?
