Publicising that you produce RSS
I've just spent an intensely frustrating half hour wandering round the
O'Reilly network, because I wanted to pick up an RSS feed for
www.openp2p.com. I feel certain that they produce one. And what's worse
is that I've definitely viewed a page that described all the different
ways to syndicate news off the O'Reilly sites but I can't find it again.
And after all that I failed to find the feed.
Come on guys! Where's the little XML icon on every page? Or the
"Syndicate here" text in tiny writing buried in the copyright footer?
And while pretty much all the staff run weblogs, there's nothing about
syndicating these on their pages either.
For most sites, this is irritating but distinctly strange from this one.
And this is definitely not an isolated case. Way too often site owners
have clearly gone to the trouble to create a feed, and then they have
nothing on their site to say where it is!
Like, Doh!
