The arguments. And the feeling that something one says will be seized upon
by polarized factions in an arcane battle which, even when more-or-less
understood, is still less than edifying.
With the "debate" that's going on, my kind of query eg "How can I squirt my
headlines and blurbs out in Jscript and <whatever>RSS</whatever> at once if
possible, preferably using Perl on my server" seems a bit like asking the
way to a nice bed-and-breakfast at the battle of the Somme.
I certainly would feel uncomfortable telling even a techie colleague or a
content producer in my market to check out this mailing list. It's an
acquired taste, to say the least.
