Exactly!

If the new names are RSSish, then what actually happened?

Since I wear a journalist hat too, I would be rather unimpressed if there
wasn't some clear difference between the names.

However if two competing brands both referred back to RSS, which (key point)
still exists, then all three are stronger. Not as strong as they could be if
there was just one, but reality is that there are three, so the new naming
must clearly reflect that.
