Glad to see these threads. One thing that people tend to overlook -

I tend to lump 0.9 and 1.0 together, because they're both RDF. In
some ways, 0.9{1-3} are the diversion; RSS started as an RDF format.
When you lump 0.9 and 1.0 together, they're about even with 0.9x. All
of this probably one of the big reasons why it's so difficult to
determine what the 'real' RSS is.
