Replying to this email will go to the mailing list.

AmphetaDesk is a news aggregator for Mac/Windows/Linux - it sits on your
desktop, downloads the latest news that interests you, and displays them in
a quick and easy to use webpage. With more than a thousand channels for
selection and limitless more available on the Net, AmphetaDesk can shave
hours off your day when it comes to news reading. And you'll look smart to
all your friends!

What follows are specific notes about this release.
You can download the latest release for your OS from:
http://www.disobey.com/amphetadesk/

Note that this is a "road to 1.0" release - there will be no more major
features added until 1.0 is available - the next .9x releases will be minor
enhancements, optimizations and bug fixes.

NOTICABLE CHANGES IN THIS RELEASE:
Changes that are easily noticed by the user.
If you want the whole story, check the documentation in /docs/CHANGELOG.

 a. Tons and tons of changes to how the template system works.
 b. Addition of "My Settings" allowing you to (rather minimally now)
tweak AmphetaDesk to your delight. Adding to this feature will be
the role of the .9x series.
 c. A Windows GUI that caused Chris Pirillo from Lockergnome to
remark: "HOLY COW -- that's an awesome front end!!!". Unfortunately,
the Mac GUI is not quite ready yet. That'll be a role of the
    .9x series.
 d. Tons of documentation changes.
 e. Lots of feature requests added.
 f. And the stereotypical "oh so much more!". This release was a
long time coming, so there were a lot of under the hood changes.
The remaining .9x releases will show up a lot quicker.

REPORTING BUGS:
What to do if something weird happens.

 a. Send morbus@disobey.com your /data/internal/AmphetaDesk.log file.
 b. Send morbus@disobey.com your /data/myChannels.opml file.
 c. Report the error message shown in the window.
 d. If an error to do with displaying a channel, send the
    matching channel from /data/channels/.

As always, any comments, hate mail, truckloads of money, are appreciated.
