I'd thought of this, tried to find it and failed.
I'm still concerned about scalability here. My page is going to hit
David's ASP code which will need to execute, as well as the rss
publisher.
Not really. My code downloads a local copy to my server once a day and
serves from that. Only an update in Userland's changedStories.xml file
will update a file otherwise.
That said, my situation isn't currently very scalable, in the sense that I
only have a 10-Base T-Ethernet connection and the service runs on a Pentium
90. We plan to move the server which this is on to a Pentium 900 (or so)
on a 100-Base T-Ethernet connection very soon.
