Then go do some homework.  Read into the uddi-general and uddi-
technical mailing lists.  This has all been discussed there.  Quite 
cooperatively, I might add. 

There's also a good amount of discussion about why some situations 
don't want discovery methods.  Also about sync hassles with using 
private directories.
