Re: [syndication] Re: very basic question



1. You do not need to register, as you can see with Radio UserLand, there
are several discovery mechanisms built-in, and you can paste in a URL at the
top of the Syndication page. You can get the URL from anywhere.

2. I don't know what's missing to make it a mass medium. Maybe some press
saying it could be a mass medium? ;->

3. Microsoft is not, as far as I know, involved. I have asked them to take
an interest in RSS, my company is working with them on SOAP, and there is a
connection with SOAP, but so far they do not seem to be interested. This is
not a Bad Thing, imho, nor unexpected. Microsoft is not a
publishing-oriented developer. I suppose that could change.

4. What magazine are you writing for? Why do we need to be warned?
