RE: [syndication] RSS is easy...

Howdy,

I had the opportunity to meet Derek Robinson a few months back. Derek's
done some amazing JavaScript bookmarklet work including his rather groovy
in-situ HTML editor[1]. I suggested an extension to his editor beyond
layout into the semantic realm, applying meaning to bits of any document
with a mouse-highlight and CTRL key combination.

Turn "title" into <title>title</title>, "http://someurl"; into
<link>http://someurl</link>, and "a descriptive description" into
<description>a descriptive description</description> with 3 swipes of the
mouse, 1 CTRL-T, 1 CTRL-L, and 1 CTRL-D. Repeat, Save, and serve... Only a
smidge more JavaScript tomfoolery would allow for associated layout changes
in the process.

Instant RSS from any Web page, right from the comfort of your (currently IE5
for Win32) favourite browser.

Regards,

Rael
