Yeah, I think so -- and that's what Dan is proposing.

If we put something in the HEAD tag of the document, then each system could
have a Bookmarklet (like blogThis and Manila Express) that said "Add this to
My.UserLand". When they clicked the bookmarklet, My Userland (or whatever)
would grab that page and search it for the right tag and then use the RSS
file.

You could do the same thing without Bookmarklets by just asking them for the
URL of the site they want to add.

If the site doesn't have an RSS file, perhaps you can keep checking it
anyway and notify them when the page changes.
