People already do the same thing about 1.0. I see no reason to make _their_
statements ambiguous.

People keep acting like RSS 1.0 is nothing like RSS 0.9x -- they're very
much the same. We've only added three elements (channel.items,
channel.image, channel.textinput) and one attribute (rdf:about). We've done
a lot of work recently to simplify RSS 1.0 from when it was originally
introduced. Now, thanks to a proposal by Edd Dumbill it's now very similar
to RSS 0.9 -- we've just added four little things. We haven't added
namespaces or RDF, they were already they're in 0.9 -- we just finished the
job.
