The latest alpha release of our portal line of products does just 
this. The next version will provide access to the meta directory 
information for downstream aggregation.

Our goal ( not yet achieved ) in the dynamic content portal space is 
to allow anyone to bring up a site in 15 minutes or less that 
delivers the same value as e.g. meerkat and for these sites to then 
be optionally networked. You can download our current effort ( and 
hopefully let us know how we are doing ) from:

This alpha version is packaged with a pre-categorized moreover ocs 
import but you can import others from the administration interface.
