That's not true. The authors were clearly _very_ concerned about backwards
compatibility. There's a lot of junk in the spec that I'd like to see taken
out, but can't be removed because of backwards-compatibility. If you have an
RSS 0.9 processor that doesn't work with this spec, let the authors know --
perhaps they can change things.

Agreed, and I don't think they do. The core RSS items have not been changed
-- there is no added complexity to use them.
