Dave -
Yes, Reuters Venture Capital is a minority investor in Moreover.com.
So they are not doing a Microsoft on us.
As for motives... financial return is the main one, but Reuters also
has a track record of "tech hedging". Even if the information
industry is turned on its head, Reuters will still do well from a
portfolio of venture investments that includes companies such as
Epicentric and Moreover.com, not to mention Yahoo!
And Reuters does want to keep up with what we're doing on the XML
front...
